Indonesia boasts over 30,000 species of flora. However, many of them are no longer recognized. The awareness of rekindling the memory of the botanical richness of the motherland, accompanied by the intention to create environmentally friendly products, inspired Dini Wiradisastra to establish House of Distraw on March 12, 2017. From a bustling neighborhood, this enterprise rooted in the blessings of nature has grown rapidly, appreciating every stage of the process with minimal environmental harm. Through the techniques of ecoprint, shibori, and natural dyeing, House of Distraw reintroduces a variety of motif techniques, often unrecognized for their beauty.
