Songket Tenun Minang was established in late 2019 under the brand name Affa Sulam and Bordir. In 2020, we decided to change the trademark to "Songket Tenun Minang" and registered it with the Directorate General of Intellectual Property in January 2022. Initially focused on embroidery and needlework, we expanded into the traditional handwoven textile industry known as "Tenun Sentak." The products of Tenun Sentak have been copyrighted since July 2022. We empower productive individuals from various communities in Kabupaten Agam to become self-sufficient, while also providing opportunities for individuals with disabilities to contribute to innovative product creation. Our skilled artisans come from Simarasok, Baso, Kamang, and Balai Gurah.
