Studio Dapur

Bamboo crafts have long been underestimated because they are usually made hastily and with low quality. An irony considering bamboo is an environmentally friendly material for our future. Studio Dapur aims to break this cycle by collaborating with artisans to produce high-quality bamboo crafts, increasing their economic value so that artisans receive fair pay. Collaborating with Pak Toto and his wife, Bu Ecin, we began developing and prototyping new products and launched Studio Dapur at the end of 2016. Our designs have evolved and adapted to the characteristics and uniqueness of bamboo weaving and laminated frames to empower the villagers inclusively.
